I’m working on Precepts from the Exeter Book and I came across this line (26b). It’s a clear case of knowing what the words literally mean, but not understanding the sense of the idea.

I rendered it after a lot of thought as “About the rich, let it be just as it can be” but something doesn’t strike me as satisfying about that.
