The Dream of the Rood is now posted to the collection of translations. With that, all the basic OE poems are now present and available for use. (By that I mean the most commonly assigned Anglo-Saxon poems: Beowulf, the Wanderer, the Seafarer, etc.)

The Metres of Boethius are still underway, slowly, very slowly. I’m generally not very happy with how any of them are sounding in modern English, and in general there is a lot less to work with with most of them in terms of imagery and pyrotechnics. They’re talky poems, rather very vivid, so the resulting translations sound way too abstract. I’m still working on them, but like I said, it takes a long time to get them sounding just right. Bill Griffiths’ 1991 edition has been invaluable as I go forward.
